Cushman Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Cushman & Wakefield plc is a global commercial real estate services firm. The company's headquarters is located in Chicago, Illinois. Cushman & Wakefield is among the world's largest commercial real estate services firms, with revenues of US$8.8 billion in 2019. The company operates from approximately 400 offices in 60 countries, has around 53,000 employees, and manages about 4.1 billion square feet of commercial space.

A former employee shared his/her opinion about working at Cushman & Wakefield on Indeed in June 2015:

"Work-life balance? Only if you're single it may not bother you. Heavy presentation work and fast-paced, non-stop office environment. Brokers treat you like an "Admin", not as part of their "team". 9-hour workday, not including lunch breaks. Come in early, stay late, doesn't matter since it's not appreciated. Pulled in too many directions. Management is top-heavy and mediocre at best. Managers could care less about you, you're just a number. Poor communication internally company-wide. Salary not commensurate with work. Benefits are average. PTO, Paid time off is pooled together, so sick, vacation, and personal all lumped together. Bonuses and raises are disgraceful for the number of people you support. Very little advancement unless you want to be licensed and play with the "big corporate white boys"."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"Old boys network. Men circle the wagons. A lot of reshuffling, nepotism while others get overlooked and unappreciated. No room for advancement"

Current Employee - Senior Accountant says

"Accountants are very much over worked. Work life balance sucks with all the deadlines you have. Takinf a weeks vacation you work 50 hours the week before and 50 hours the week you return. Raises are less than inflation. 2020 no raise was given at all for our 2019 performance even though the company had 7billion in revenue. Property managers who you work with are like kings and queens. Accountants don't have any say and are mistreated compared to Property Managers, they get raises and bonuses while accountants barely get any raise."

Former Employee - Property Manager says

"Expect to work 10-12 hrs a day, don’t complain you’ll get set up for termination."

Former Employee - Executive Assistant says

"not a good work environment, do not recommend"

Former Employee - Transaction Coordinator says

"Depending on your account, the workload (especially on the Jones account) was overwhelming 90+ deals. Lack of training. Unrealistic KPI’s. The account is so large that so many things get lost in translation. There is no incentive to negotiate. Compensation requires a majority of the staff to hold 2 jobs. High turnover. You can’t really utilize your PTO. I see a lot of burnout."

"Lack of leadership, Lackluster upper management, employer does not appreciate employees"

Current Employee - Associate says

"The career path doesn't exist. Salary is way below the average for the industry. Lack of resources. You will hear the phrase "We don't have a budget for it right now" throughout your career. Health insurance is a joke. Outdated equipment and the worst IT help desk on the planet."

Building Engineer (Current Employee) says

"The only reason i took the job was because i was told they were finally going pro union and had exciting programs.Instead they are hostile to the union and wiling to say anything to get people. The programs i thought would be there are laughed away along with any complaint. Before i arrived they went through 14 journey level engineers in 3 years. Now we are over worked, lowest paid in the city. if covid had not happened i would probably not be here...Oh and corporate does not care, they only care that they have the assets get a low-end phone and all the accountability with out parking, forced regular Sat. work, no office admin all work goes to engineering to be assessed."

"Everywhere I have worked there is always at least two people (3 counting myself) who have worked there and loved it at first. "Small office with gossip and back stabbing each other just to get ahead. Manager constantly throws you under the bus then lies and says it was your fault to HR and senior managers. Never in all the 25 years of working been treated so unfairly and horrible. Would not recommend to my worst enemy. Health insurance is the worst I've seen with super high deductibles, medications expensive, copay ridiculous and they barely paid for an ER visit, in network, and specialty doctor visits. Not many, hours were good and no overtimeMicromanaging, backstabbing, small office gossip, health insurance is the worst, pay is bad, no growth within company, HR will not help you and rarely do they call you back, answer phone or reply to email"

I was put onto the computer expected to know how to make contracts and leases with no prior experience and they knew when they hired that I had no experience I believe I got fired because they just did not waste their time training. Didn’t properly train Until a month into the job. But if you have no prior experience in this line of work I don’t even try to apply, they don’t even care about training"

Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist (Former Employee) says

"This company provides alot of promise and no potential unless you are a favorite. If you are a favorite you can get by with anything you want and show up for work or leave whenever you want. They don't even have the decency to their employees when letting them go as they will call you on the phone and let you know that you have been fired. To top it all off after we vacated, they couldnt even have the decency to tell our utilities we had vacated (needed by british gas to close our account). We dealt with Andrew Llewellyn and I have to say a 6 year old child could do his job better. They still owe us money too from overpayments and also shorte'd us on our deposit back for no reason. We are pursuing through small claims."
